The Tesla Humanoid Robot: Unlocking the Future lets dive in
What is the TESLA Robot ?
Optimus is a humanoid robot designed by Tesla. Its prototype was unveiled at the company’s AI Day in September 2022.
Elon Musk, Optimus will be mass produced and cost less than a car to purchase.
Purpose Behind Tesla Creating Robots?
Tesla perceives its cars as robots on wheels, and now, Optimus is essentially a robot with legs.
The Thrilling Journey of the Tesla Robot :-
In 2021, Tesla teased the humanoid robot concept, Optimus. By 2022, Elon Musk unveiled two real prototypes, bringing the vision to life.
But the real star of the show was Optimus, which was revealed for the first time looking like a modern take on a medieval knight.
Musk also said it would one day help millions of people and do a lot of useful things.
Powerful Software behind — Optimus :-
Optimus relies on central computer processing to analyze vision data from various sensors, enabling it to perceive its surroundings.
It features a visual navigation system powered by fully trained neural networks for seamless movement.
The robot is programmed with a library of human motions, like grabbing a box off a shelf. Engineers recorded and optimized this motion data to seamlessly adapt to real-world actions in Optimus.
Capabilities of the Tesla Robot : -
1. Walk forward
2. Climb stairs
3. Work with objects
4. Pick up objects while squatting
5. Turn while walking with an object
6. Walk up and down slopes
7. Side-step while holding an object
8. Slide an object in front of its torso parallel to the ground
9. Lift an object with one arm
10. Use a drill and screwdriver
11.Squeeze an object and lift it
12. Push objects forward, backward, and sideways
Design and Hardware : -
Inspired by the human body, it features arms, hands, legs, and a head, with a central computer in the torso serving as its “brain.”
Its 2.3 kWh battery is sufficient for a full day of work.
Expected Price of the Tesla Robot? : -
During the event, Musk mentioned that the Tesla robot will be priced approx at $20,000 or less.
which is less less than a car to purchase.
